Category Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate top-tier Category Management principles to enhance pricing, quality, delivery, service levels, and overall value.

• Cultivate and sustain industry expertise within the assigned category while executing related sourcing activities.

• Lead RFx processes, negotiations, supplier sourcing, contract negotiations, and compliance/legal management for specified categories.

• Provide category and spending analytics support, analyzing business operations and financial data to pinpoint supply risks and sourcing opportunities related to total cost of ownership.

• Regularly collaborate with Purchasing Operations (Buyers) and Materials Management (Inventory/Receiving) to identify root causes of supply shortages and devise mitigation strategies.

• Promote Supplier Collaboration and accountability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in General Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, consulting, or a similar functional area.

• Comprehensive understanding of procurement and supply chain processes and systems.

• Proven experience in creating manual RFx documents and managing the complete process.

• Intermediate proficiency or higher in Microsoft Excel.
