Category Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Direct trade-level strategy within the marketplace, overseeing performance and processes as dictated by organizational needs.

• Evaluate trade, sourcing, pricing, and supply performance to uncover opportunities for volume, margin, and efficiency enhancements.

• Transform data and analysis into concise, actionable insights for Operations leadership.

• Suggest and implement optimization strategies for bids, pricing, supply, and lead mix to enhance marketplace results.

• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to develop solutions that balance volume, margin, and lead quality.

• Monitor the impact of implemented actions, tracking results and making adjustments to ensure sustained success.

• Establish and track KPIs that measure trade health, throughput, and profitability.

• Create business cases that support prioritization and investment decisions.

• Promote cross-functional teamwork with Sales, Pricing, and Data teams to carry out initiatives.

• Identify operational risks early and suggest mitigations to safeguard marketplace performance.

• Develop scalable and repeatable processes that ensure reliable trade management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in supply and demand dynamics, category management, vertical management, or account management within an e-commerce or marketplace setting.

• Proven project management experience with the ability to unite diverse groups to achieve common objectives.

• Demonstrated capacity to cultivate and sustain strong relationships across various teams.

• Strong technical foundation that enables successful interpretation and translation of requests into actionable technical outputs.

• Analytical mindset with hands-on proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (such as Tableau or ThoughtSpot); SQL knowledge is preferred.

• Advanced proficiency in English.
