This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Utilize syndicated data platforms (e.g., SPINS, Nielsen) to derive insights and recommendations that guide Sales, Category Management, and cross-functional strategies.
• Assist Category Management with weekly and monthly data requirements.
• Collaborate with Category Management leadership to conduct regular category analyses and proactively pinpoint trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Engage in sales forecasting by examining historical performance, identifying growth drivers, and highlighting implications for future distribution opportunities.
• Spearhead data analysis for significant sales initiatives, encompassing retailer performance assessments and various ad-hoc analyses (SKU assortment, promotions, voids, new item launches).
• Independently assess and validate business opportunities through meticulous analysis, clearly communicating the implications and recommended next steps.
• Execute analyses and insights that confirm or refute opportunities.
• Act as a consultative partner to cross-functional teams by clarifying business inquiries, shaping analytical methodologies, and prioritizing tasks based on business impact.
• Manage multiple projects and requests of differing significance, urgency, and impact autonomously, adjusting priorities as necessary based on opportunities and needs.
• 3–5+ years of experience in category, sales, or commercial analytics, ideally within the CPG sector.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; prior experience with SPINS, Nielsen, or other syndicated research systems is essential.
• Capability to deliver insights in various formats as required to effectively convey the narrative to the intended audience (verbal, email, spreadsheets, charts, and presentations).
• Proficient in analyzing, comparing, and interpreting data, making informed judgments based on this knowledge.
• Ability to clearly present insights and recommendations to influence audiences from individual contributors to senior leaders and retail partners.
• Proven ability to frame data around business questions and derive actionable conclusions.
• High degree of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
• Competent in working independently, prioritizing tasks, and multitasking.
• Strong planning, organizational, and project management capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication, and presentation skills.
• Team-oriented with the ability to engage with employees at all levels in a professional and positive manner.
• Self-motivated and quick to learn, but knows when to seek guidance.
• Energetic and comfortable working in a startup environment, with the ability to think quickly in a rapidly evolving setting.
• Experience collaborating successfully with remote teams across multiple states, utilizing collaboration tools such as Zoom and Slack.
