This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +3 more states.
• Manage claims at sites affected by fire, water, weather, theft, or other unforeseen incidents, and also remotely from home.
• Perform thorough property inspections and create estimates that reflect the extent of the damage.
• Resolve substantial homeowner claims that involve intricate structural losses.
• Leverage advanced video technology to collaborate with onsite vendors and assess virtual damage.
• Review policy documents, ascertain coverage, and clarify estimates and policy decisions to clients.
• Engage empathetically with clients throughout the claims process.
• Negotiate claim settlements based on business-unit methodologies.
• Utilize data and analytics to guide decision-making.
• Investigate and address complex customer communications, concerns, conflicts, and issues.
• Maintain claim files with comprehensive notes, evaluations, and decision-making processes.
• Examine, review, establish, and validate intricate coverage and policy details.
• Manage complex contents inventories, pricing analyses, mitigation bills, and claims reports.
• Handle and occasionally negotiate complex claims involving Public Adjusters.
• Act as a team lead or member on various projects.
• Reinspect complex damage estimates and provide coaching for quality evaluation.
• Serve as a resource to leadership on complicated claims, coverage, and high-severity issues.
• Conduct internal investigations of complex mortgagee claims.
• Analyze customer satisfaction results and suggest, design, and implement action plans.
• Oversee, research, and resolve complex customer communications, concerns, conflicts, and issues.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in property adjusting.
• Background in construction or trades.
• Proficient understanding of all regional construction types and associated repair methodologies.
• Advanced knowledge of regional construction types and related repair methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Skills in Active Listening, Critical Thinking, Time Management, and the ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in Xactimate.
• Availability to work a 10/4 schedule, from 7 AM to 7 PM.
• Willingness to travel 70% or more.
• Capability to work independently, as part of a team, face-to-face, and virtually.
• Ability to engage and participate on camera during online meetings and training sessions.
• Reliable internet connection with a minimum download speed of 50 MB and upload speed of 5 MB.
• A dedicated, private workspace at home that is free from distractions, with appropriate desk and seating.
• Must undergo a background investigation.
• The office/area may require obtaining an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire.
• This position is not available to residents of California, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or Washington.
• A $1,000 Licensing Sign-On Bonus may be available for candidates possessing applicable active licenses.
