Case Manager – Personal Injury Litigation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Honduras, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Execute precise data entry while ensuring complete and organized records for cases.

• Support trial preparation and the systematic organization of case materials.

• Aid in drafting pleadings and responding to discovery requests.

• Assist with electronic court filings and the preparation of legal documents.

• Liaise with insurance adjusters, defense attorneys, court personnel, medical providers, and other stakeholders involved in active cases.

• Organize and oversee case documents and electronic files.

• Keep accurate and detailed case notes and information within Filevine.

• Act as a vital support partner and right-hand to the supervising attorney.

• Monitor case deadlines and proactively notify the attorney of upcoming or missed deadlines and critical outstanding tasks.

• Manage and maintain assigned Personal Injury cases throughout their lifecycle.

• Provide additional case management and paralegal support to the legal team as required.

• Identify potential issues, missing information, or approaching deadlines proactively, bringing them to the attorney’s attention.

• Follow up on outstanding documentation, requests, deadlines, and case-related tasks.

• Offer continuous support to the supervising attorney throughout the litigation process.

• Request, collect, organize, and manage medical records and billing documentation.

• Provide translation and interpretation assistance as needed.

• Communicate with clients in both English and Spanish regarding case-related matters.

• Manage calendars and coordinate appointments for the staff member and supervising attorney.

• Working Hours: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday

• Previous experience in Personal Injury is essential.

• Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish are mandatory.

• Proficiency with case management systems and document management is required.

• Experience in supporting personal injury cases and working directly with attorneys is highly preferred.

• Must feel comfortable communicating with clients, supervising attorneys, insurance adjusters, defense attorneys, and court personnel.

• Must be adept at managing deadlines and proactively notifying when important tasks or deadlines need attention.

• Expected call volume: 16 to 30 calls daily.

• Required software proficiency includes Filevine, Avaya or RingCentral, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Outlook, Zoom, Hona, and Adobe.

• Required skills encompass case management, document management, litigation support, electronic filing, pleading preparation, discovery response support, trial assistance, medical records and billing requests management, calendar management, deadline management, data entry, detailed case note documentation, translation and interpretation, as well as effective client and professional communication.
