This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.
• Identify, assess, and onboard new carrier partners across all transportation modes to fulfill ongoing freight requirements.
• Cultivate a personal portfolio of carrier relationships that expands with you each year.
• Establish and uphold robust relationships with carriers to guarantee capacity and competitive pricing.
• Negotiate both spot and contract rates to enhance margin while safeguarding service standards.
• Balance cost-effectiveness with service excellence to meet customer expectations.
• Stand firm during negotiations while preserving positive carrier relationships.
• Oversee freight in transit and proactively address service challenges before they escalate.
• Collaborate with account managers and operations personnel to align the appropriate carrier with each load.
• Respond to carrier escalations and service disruptions swiftly and effectively.
• Maintain precise carrier data, compliance documentation, and load records within the TMS.
• Ensure carriers adhere to company criteria for insurance, authority, and safety standards.
• Keep comprehensive records of carrier performance, pricing, and communications.
• Work closely with account managers and operations teams to ensure uninterrupted load coverage.
• Excel in a high-pressure, load-by-load environment while maintaining a strategic perspective.
• Contribute to team success through cooperation and knowledge exchange.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in carrier sales, freight brokerage, or transportation operations (mandatory).
• Demonstrated success in building and sustaining carrier networks at scale.
• Strong skills in negotiation.
• A relentless work ethic and a performance-oriented mindset.
• Proficient in TMS platforms; familiarity with McLeod, Mercury Gate, or similar systems is preferred.
• Capacity to multitask and handle high workloads in a fast-paced setting.
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building abilities.
