• Identify, onboard, and manage relationships with carriers, particularly focusing on operations in Mexico and cross-border logistics.
• Negotiate competitive pricing with carriers while ensuring top-notch service quality and adherence to compliance standards.
• Oversee shipment execution, address service-related issues, and guarantee timely delivery performance.
• Work in conjunction with internal teams and agents to align capacity with customer demands.
• Maintain an extensive network of carriers specializing in Mexico, border drayage, and transloading operations.
• Comprehend and relay customs, documentation, and regulatory obligations associated with cross-border freight.
• Deliver outstanding communication in both English and Spanish to enhance relationships with carriers and partners.
• Recognize market trends, capacity changes, and pricing opportunities within the Mexico/U.S. corridor.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in carrier sales or capacity procurement, ideally within the cross-border Mexico freight sector.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (both verbal and written).
• Proven track record in negotiating rates and managing carrier performance effectively.
• Established connections with carriers based in Mexico and the border region.
• Strong knowledge of cross-border procedures, documentation, and compliance requirements.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks and excel in a dynamic logistics environment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and TMS (Transportation Management Systems).
