Carrier Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Overseeing transactional operations related to carriers within the department

• Ensuring the maintenance of carrier downloads

• Administering carrier logins and passwords

• Managing carrier codes

• Resolving issues related to management systems

• Extracting and distributing reports

• Compiling documented policies and procedures into a unified set of operational guidelines

• Assisting in the setup of new appointments

• Aiding in the transfer of carrier books

• Collaborating with the Operations department to maintain and update the Admin Carrier Spreadsheet and database

• Updating both new and existing appointments

• Creating an Agency Data Sheet for new partnerships

• Providing and ensuring accurate data for Carrier Appointments and Partnerships

• Communicating with carriers regarding new partnerships

• Working with various departments on carrier-related processes

• Attaching relevant documents in the document management system

• Sending weekly or biweekly follow-ups as necessary

• Participating in bi-weekly departmental meetings

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in a customer service or underwriting position within an insurance agency

• Familiarity with Applied Epic, Vertafore AMS, or similar systems

• Proven experience in defining and documenting procedures and workflows

• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail are essential, along with a history of reliability, confidentiality, and conscientious work habits

• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Ability to interpret data and make cost-effective decisions

• Adaptability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment under deadline pressures

• Demonstrated proficiency in engaging directly with co-workers, clients, and vendors.
