This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• The da Vinci Cardiovascular Sales Manager is essential in recognizing, validating, and overseeing the surgical integration of cardiac procedures for the da Vinci Surgical System.
• Collaborating with Marketing, Sales Leadership, and Clinical Sales staff, as well as Capital Sales and Key Accounts, the manager will identify and cultivate relationships with surgeons, cardiologists, team members, and executive Key Opinion Leaders to lead and increase the adoption of the da Vinci System for cardiac surgical procedures.
• Enhance the current base of cardiac users in the DACH region to achieve complete practice integration with da Vinci.
• Identify and validate high-potential leads based on commitment, unrestricted access, procedure volume, executive endorsement, clinical support, and directional data within the cardiac field.
• Oversee and implement all four phases of the new da Vinci Cardiac Technical Training Pathway, ensuring sustainability for surgeons and programs.
• Establish da Vinci Cardiac Reference Centers that showcase clinical, economic, strategic, and operational benefits.
• Create new comprehensive Cardiac Programmatic Development Centers that include surgeons, executives, and cardiologists who can express the clinical, economic, strategic, and operational advantages of da Vinci Cardiac.
• Generate awareness of da Vinci Cardiac in key markets utilizing resources such as data, technology, referring physicians, executives, and peer-to-peer interactions.
• Recruit and nurture Surgical KOLs who can educate, proctor, and share their clinical insights through peer-to-peer exchanges.
• Recruit and cultivate Cardiology KOLs who can educate and share their clinical insights through peer-to-peer exchanges.
• Recruit and nurture Executive KOLs who can educate and share their programmatic insights through clinical and financial evaluations of their current cardiac programs.
• Implement the da Vinci ECOSYSTEM for all da Vinci Cardiac surgeons to promote programmatic development: training, simulation, digital tools, data analytics, and new technology.
• Foster independent surgeons, teams, and programs for da Vinci Cardiac.
• Develop and uphold significant technical and clinical expertise with the da Vinci Surgical System platform and procedures, positioning yourself as a resource for supporting cardiac surgeons and surgical teams, starting with IMA (internal mammary artery) harvest, mitral valve procedures, and other relevant operations. Act as a dedicated cardiac resource for all Intuitive business partners, assisting in validating surgeons, programs, and business opportunities.
• Cultivate a strong understanding of MIDCAB and MVR disease states to effectively discuss diagnostic tools, ancillary equipment, and techniques that facilitate minimally invasive surgical options.
• Educate and train Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) on the safe and effective utilization of the da Vinci Surgical System to enhance their robotic surgery techniques and capabilities.
• Lead and develop care teams through training sessions, assisting them in understanding system operations, safety, OR integration, clinical applications, and digital tools for effective pre-, intra-, and postoperative system management.
• Act as a dedicated resource to surgeons, cardiologists, surgical teams, and executives for the integration of the da Vinci System into new and existing customer locations, ensuring ongoing commitment to the system.
• Provide basic troubleshooting and service support for the da Vinci Surgical System as required.
• A bachelor’s degree is required (preferably in a science or business-related field).
• At least 5 years of experience in the medical device industry is required.
• Cardiac clinical experience is mandatory.
• A proven history of high sales performance in previous positions is essential.
• Demonstrated aptitude for developing KOLs and Reference Centers using QTI data.
• Proven ability to collaborate across various functions and work effectively within teams.
• Capability to address problems, manage complexities, and adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Exceptional planning, interpersonal, and persuasive communication skills.
• Strong clinical selling abilities and the capacity to establish credibility with a highly educated customer base.
• A solid record of sales excellence.
• Willingness to travel up to 70%, depending on account distribution.
• Proficiency in both English and German is required.
