
Cardiometabolic Care Specialist I - Pharma Field Sales

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Meet sales targets by executing marketing and sales strategies aimed at promoting Novo Nordisk’s cardiometabolic product range to healthcare professionals and office personnel through remote and virtual channels.
• Establish and nurture relationships with physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, pharmacists, nurses, paramedical clients, and co-promotion partners.
• Adhere to virtual call scripts, decision trees for call continuums, outbound call objectives, and schedules for customer follow-up.
• Document call notes, including products discussed, issues resolved, sales materials utilized, samples provided, and other relevant details for future sales efficiency.
• Follow up on incoming leads and cultivate leads and referrals.
• Leverage knowledge of the territory market, competitive landscape, priorities, and patient needs to formulate and implement territory business plans.
• Develop and sustain business-relevant virtual connections with prescribers and support personnel, collaborating on clinical patient management using approved solutions.
• Work collaboratively across internal teams and proactively share insights and business opportunities.
• Investigate stakeholders and account business practices, customizing account strategies accordingly.
• Execute Novo Nordisk’s selling model with external clients and during company-sponsored events.
• Coordinate and communicate with territory sales teams and internal stakeholders to implement strategies and clarify roles and responsibilities.
• Utilize knowledge of disease states, treatment options, Novo Nordisk products, competitor products, and clinical studies during customer engagements.
• Attend sales and marketing meetings, training sessions, conventions, and exhibitions.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and/or a PharmD is required.
• Prior experience in retail, inside sales, or customer service is preferred.
• Intermediate proficiency in computer applications, including Windows, Word, and Excel.
• Experience with sales data and call reporting software is desirable.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and demonstrate sound business judgment and discretion.
• Exceptional customer service capabilities.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of diabetes and obesity disease states as well as Novo Nordisk products.
• Capacity for learning and effectively communicating technical and scientific product and disease management information.
• Ability to build rapport, foster relationships, and close sales deals.
• 0–10% overnight travel is required.
