This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Takes charge of meeting sales targets by executing marketing and sales strategies designed to effectively sell and promote the NN portfolio of products to healthcare professionals (HCPs) and other office personnel through remote or virtual methods.
• Establishes and nurtures relationships with physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, pharmacists, nurses, and other paramedical staff, as well as current co-promotion partners.
• Adheres to the proper guidelines regarding virtual call scripts and decision-making processes for call continuums.
• Documents call notes, including products discussed, key issues and concerns raised, sales aids utilized, samples distributed, and any other relevant information that will enhance the effectiveness of future sales calls.
• Schedules follow-up calls with clients based on call continuum strategies and customer interaction.
• Manages follow-up for inbound leads and focuses on developing new leads and referrals.
• Leverages knowledge of the territory market, including current market dynamics, competitive trends, priorities, and patient needs to formulate and execute territory business plans.
• Executes strategies to gain virtual access to cultivate and sustain business-relevant relationships with customers, including prescribers and support staff, to drive business impact through collaboration in patient clinical management and offering NNI-approved solutions.
• Fosters and maintains internal relationships by collaborating across functions and proactively sharing pertinent knowledge and business opportunities to positively impact customers.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and/or a PharmD is required.
• Prior experience in retail, non-retail/inside sales, or customer service is preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills are essential (Windows, Word, Excel).
• Previous experience with sales data or call reporting software is highly desirable.
• Must be a self-motivated individual capable of working independently while exercising sound business judgment and discretion.
• Excellent customer service skills are a must.
• Strong oral communication skills are required.
• A solid understanding of diabetes and obesity disease states, as well as knowledge of Novo Nordisk’s products, is necessary, along with the ability to learn and effectively communicate technical and scientific product and disease management information.
