Card Fraud Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take direct responsibility for managing the complete dispute and chargeback lifecycle.

• Ensure all dispute claims are processed in a timely and accurate manner, following Visa card scheme rules and regulatory deadlines.

• Create and implement strategies aimed at enhancing chargeback win rates while reducing financial risks.

• Serve as the main point of contact for the customer support team regarding complex cases.

• Establish, implement, and continuously improve strategies for preventing card fraud.

• Oversee and enhance fraud detection systems and tools, including real-time monitoring and alert management.

• Work alongside Product and Engineering teams to embed fraud prevention measures into both new and existing card features.

• Manage the implementation, configuration, and optimization of 3D Secure protocols for online transactions.

• Ensure adherence to Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) requirements and other relevant regional regulations.

• Design, implement, and maintain fraud risk rules within Gnosis Pay's fraud management systems, such as rule engines and machine learning models.

• Conduct regular analyses of fraud trends to proactively modify risk rules and detection parameters.

• Develop and sustain comprehensive dashboards and metrics for fraud and dispute reporting.

• Provide regular, insightful updates to senior management regarding fraud losses, chargeback rates, dispute trends, and the effectiveness of prevention measures.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in fraud management, risk operations, or dispute resolution in the payment card sector, with a preference for issuing.

• Extensive understanding of Visa products, chargeback regulations, and reason codes.

• Strong knowledge of EMV technology, tokenization (DPAN, MPAN), 3D Secure (3DS), and Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) principles.

• Demonstrated experience in managing and optimizing fraud detection systems and rule engines.

• An analytical mindset capable of interpreting intricate data, identifying trends, and converting insights into actionable strategies.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical and risk concepts to varied audiences.

• Proficiency with data analysis tools and reporting platforms.
