
Capture Team Lead – Navy / Maritime

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee and direct the capture process throughout the sales lifecycle, from identifying opportunities to securing contract awards.
• Develop winning strategies that encompass customer engagement, solutions development, competitive evaluations, strategic shaping, teaming approaches, pricing strategies, and bid/no-bid recommendations for senior management, based on a price to win and various competitive analyses.
• Manage proposal development initiatives, which include scheduling, content creation, and reviews, to ensure submissions are timely and compliant.
• Establish and nurture relationships with potential clients, government agencies, and industry partners to gather insights on their procurement strategies.
• Facilitate effective communication among the capture team, subject matter experts, and leadership to ensure alignment on goals and objectives.
• Monitor and report on capture progress, providing regular updates to leadership.

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Willingness to Travel.
• Familiarity with best practices in capture management.
• Proven experience in managing and writing proposals.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Exceptional presentation and verbal communication abilities.
• Background in leading capture initiatives for Defense and Government Sales.
• Demonstrated success in executing all phases of capture efforts, including deal strategy formulation, solution development, teaming strategy and development, proposal implementation, and solution marketing.
• Comprehensive understanding of Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition processes, along with a deep knowledge of the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as well as familiarity with various federal and defense-specific contracting vehicles, such as General Services Administration (GSA) Schedules, Multiple Award Contracts (MACs), Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts, Other Transaction Authorities (OTAs), and specific DoD vehicles like SeaPort-e and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) contracts.
• Knowledge of navigating diverse DoD funding sources, including Program Objective Memorandum (POM), Congressional adds, Rapid Innovation Fund (RIF), and Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR)/Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs, to secure funding for research, development, and procurement initiatives.
