This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.
• Lead the strategy for capturing opportunities.
• Design and implement capture plans for key projects across the Department of Defense and the wider federal landscape.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams and growth leaders to collect customer insights, shape requirements, and refine the opportunity strategy prior to solicitation.
• Develop win themes, unique selling propositions, competitor assessments, and teaming strategies that enhance the likelihood of success.
• Assist in bid/no-bid assessments, stage-gate evaluations, and governance pursuits for the most critical projects.
• Work alongside finance, legal, and engineering teams to craft pricing strategies, cost narratives, and contract frameworks that are competitive, compliant, and feasible.
• Oversee the transition from capture to award by ensuring coherence between customer requirements, solution approaches, pricing, realistic timelines, and contractual pathways.
• Aid in negotiations and finalizing contracts in collaboration with legal, finance, and executive stakeholders.
• Collaborate with proposal management and writing teams to ensure proposals are compliant, persuasive, and closely aligned with the winning strategy.
• Over 8 years of experience in capture management, contracts, proposal strategy, or business development within defense, aerospace, or national security sectors.
• Demonstrated experience in leading or significantly influencing full-lifecycle federal pursuits from capture through to award.
• Strong grasp of DoD and federal acquisition processes, including FAR/DFARS; familiarity with OTAs, SBIR/STTR, IDIQs, and related vehicles is highly preferred.
• Experience in crafting win themes, competitor analyses, teaming strategies, pricing methodologies, and governance frameworks.
• Capability to translate intricate technical capabilities into persuasive pursuit strategies and value propositions for evaluators.
• Experience working closely with proposal management resources rather than having to manage every detail of proposal production independently.
• Active U.S. security clearance is preferred; the ability and willingness to obtain one is required.
