Caption Translator – English to Czech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Convert captions/subtitles, documents, websites, and software into different languages.

• Conduct Machine Translation Post Editing (MTPE).

• Execute transcreation tasks.

• Address cultural translation discrepancies arising from machine translation.

• Modify translations to fit within specified word limits while preserving the original meaning.

• Manage the translation database utilizing Translation Management Software.

• Ensure quality assurance throughout the translation process.

• Utilize a diverse range of media and translation software.

• Tackle translation, localization, and cultural challenges.

• Collaborate with other departments to offer translation services.

• Incorporate feedback and adjustments whenever feasible.

• Work collaboratively with fellow translators and report directly to the project manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in communications or linguistics.

• At least four years of experience in the translation industry.

• Proficient in any Translation Management System tools and software.

• Strong understanding of the translation process, terminology, and localization methods.

• Familiar with localization guidelines and standards.

• Capable of translating written content into a second language.

• Exceptional translation, writing, and communication abilities.

• Fluent in at least two of the target languages.

• Ability to meet tight deadlines.

• Additional certification in Linguistics is advantageous.
