Capital Markets Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of sales technology solutions that facilitate equity derivatives and structured products distribution.

• Architect and take ownership of a scalable order management system (OMS) for equity derivatives covering initiation, pre-trade checks, execution, booking, settlement, and post-trade management.

• Design and create integrations with platforms such as SIMON, Luma, Evooq, OTCX, Halo, and CAIS.

• Promote the use of digital distribution channels and self-service tools for both internal and external clients.

• Manage workflows for Bloomberg structured note contributions, including secondary market price publication through BSYM/BBGID and integration with Bloomberg terminals.

• Design and manage SQL relational database schemas and MongoDB document store models.

• Assess, onboard, and manage relationships with third-party technology vendors.

• Collaborate with compliance, legal, and risk teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements such as MiFID II.

• Establish and enforce coding standards, architectural patterns, and best practices.

• Mentor junior engineers and business analysts.

• Monitor system performance, manage incident responses, and ensure the reliability of production systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience, with at least 4 years in capital markets or financial services.

• Strong hands-on expertise in Python and Java.

• Capability to oversee full-stack delivery across both Python and Java.

• In-depth knowledge of equity derivatives, including structured notes, autocallables, barrier options, and equity-linked products.

• Experience with structured product distribution platforms like SIMON, Luma, Evooq, OTCX, Halo, and/or CAIS.

• Experience managing Bloomberg structured note contribution workflows, secondary market price publication, BSYM/BBGID identifiers, and Bloomberg terminal integration.

• Proficient in designing and consuming RESTful APIs.

• Familiarity with FIX or other financial messaging protocols.

• Strong proficiency in relational and document-oriented databases.

• Understanding of trade lifecycle, order management, and structured product workflows.

• Proven track record of leading technical delivery in an Agile environment.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Preferred qualifications include cloud infrastructure, containerized deployment, additional structured product platforms, knowledge of other asset classes, CI/CD, DevOps, data engineering/ETL, experience with FIX in an OMS context, and familiarity with regulatory frameworks beyond MiFID II.
