Capital Cost Estimator, Construction Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Creating capital cost estimates and overarching budgets for manufacturing, storage, and facility initiatives.

• Evaluating engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation to ascertain material, labor, and equipment requirements.

• Conducting quantity take-offs and cost analyses across various engineering fields.

• Investigating and confirming market prices, labor rates, and equipment costs to ensure estimates remain up-to-date.

• Executing financial evaluations — NPV, IRR, depreciation — to facilitate informed project decisions.

• Working collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and operations teams throughout all project stages.

• Assessing vendor and contractor proposals for precision and alignment with project scope.

• Recognizing cost-reduction opportunities and enhancing the estimating process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a relevant field.

• Over 10 years of experience in construction estimating, pre-construction phases, or capital project assistance.

• Proficient in creating Scope of Work documents and evaluating bid packages.

• Familiarity with estimating and project management software such as RSMeans, ProEst, Procore, or equivalent tools.

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

• A collaborative team member with excellent communication skills, thriving in cross-functional teams.

• Must possess authorization to work in the US (sponsorship not available).
