Capital Cost Estimator, Construction Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Creating capital cost estimates and overarching budgets for manufacturing, warehousing, and facility initiatives.

• Evaluating engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation to ascertain material, labor, and equipment requirements.

• Executing quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns across various engineering disciplines.

• Conducting research and validating market pricing, labor rates, and equipment costs to ensure estimates remain up-to-date.

• Performing financial analyses — NPV, IRR, depreciation — to inform project-related decisions.

• Collaborating with engineers, project managers, and operations teams during all phases of the project.

• Assessing vendor and contractor quotes for precision and scope alignment.

• Spotting cost-saving opportunities and aiding in enhancements to the estimating process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of experience in construction estimating, pre-construction, or capital project support.

• Proficient in developing Scope of Work documents and evaluating bid packages.

• Familiarity with estimating and project management tools such as RSMeans, ProEst, Procore, or similar software.

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

• A collaborative team member who communicates effectively and excels in cross-functional settings.

• Must possess authorization to work in the US (no sponsorship available).
