This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Direct and oversee accounting, financial reporting, and controls for capital expenditures within the company's data center development portfolio.
• Guarantee precise, prompt, and comprehensive capital project accounting in compliance with U.S. GAAP, including construction-cost capitalization, CIP, fixed assets, and project completions.
• Collaborate with Development, Construction, Procurement, FP&A, and Project Controls throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
• Supervise the accounting close for operating expenses, debt, equity, intercompany transactions, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Evaluate and authorize journal entries, account reconciliations, and accompanying schedules.
• Conduct analytical reviews, investigate discrepancies, and address accounting issues.
• Enhance closing processes through automation, standardization, and improved internal controls.
• Oversee accounting for construction loans, revolving credit facilities, project financing, debt modifications, debt issuance costs, interest expenses, and debt amortization.
• Prepare and sustain debt rollforwards and supporting documentation.
• Account for capital contributions, distributions, equity issuances, ownership changes, intercompany loans, capital calls, and financing transactions.
• Collaborate with Treasury and Corporate Development on financing transactions and capital structure strategies.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CPA designation is mandatory.
• 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2–3 years at a Big Four public accounting firm.
• Proven experience leading month-end closing processes in a multi-entity environment.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Experience in preparing or reviewing consolidations and intercompany eliminations.
• Familiarity with supporting external audits and engaging directly with auditors.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite is preferred.
• Preferred: experience in data centers, commercial real estate, infrastructure, renewable energy, construction, or other capital-intensive sectors.
• Preferred: experience in a private equity-backed organization.
• Preferred: knowledge of project accounting and joint venture accounting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities, with the capability to collaborate effectively across Finance and Operations.
