Cantonese Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Delivering precise, consecutive interpretation mainly within medical environments.

• Enabling vital communication in social services and financial situations.

• This position initially emphasizes OPI, providing a clear path for advancement into VRI.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of professional experience in remote medical interpretation.

• English Proficiency: Required fluency at a minimum of C1 level. Valid certifications from EF SET (4-Skill), TOEFL, or CAE are accepted.

• Interpretation Certification: Candidates must successfully complete a terminology and interpreter skills evaluation during the hiring process.

• Core Skills: Thorough understanding of medical and customer service terminology is essential.

• Compliance: Must currently possess, or be willing to obtain, HIPAA and FWA (Fraud, Waste, and Abuse) certifications.

• Background Check: Must be willing to successfully undergo a standard background check via email.

• Technical & Workspace Requirements: Internet Connection: A hardwired Ethernet connection directly to your router is required (Wi-Fi is not allowed). Hardware: A high-quality, noise-canceling USB headset is necessary. Computer Specs: Must have at least Windows 10 OS and 4GB RAM. Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, or Microsoft Edge is required. Workspace: A dedicated, quiet, and fully HIPAA-compliant working environment is mandatory.
