ASL Interpreter – Educational

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Deliver precise, real-time ASL interpretation during classroom lessons and school events.

• Facilitate student interactions with teachers, fellow students, and school personnel.

• Uphold confidentiality and comply with FERPA and district regulations.

• Work in conjunction with school staff and special education teams as necessary.

• Engage in mandatory meetings or check-ins focused on student assistance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL).

• Previous experience as an educational or school-based interpreter is preferred.

• Knowledge of K–12 educational environments.

• Capability to work autonomously in a remote setting.

• Dependable internet connection and suitable technology for remote interpreting.

• Current New Mexico state board ASL interpreter license (or willingness to obtain one).

• Current New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) certification (or willingness to obtain one).
