This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +2 more states.
• Oversee and direct segments of state and regional Offshore Wind Energy initiatives throughout New England, New York, and New Jersey.
• Collaborate on the development of campaign strategies (objectives, theory of change, key decision-makers, stakeholder analysis, tactics, timelines, and responsibilities) for priority state and regional projects.
• Propel the implementation of integrated campaign strategies (communications, digital outreach, and field/organizing efforts) alongside communications personnel and other internal teams.
• Monitor campaign advancement through quantifiable goals, milestones, and deliverables; compile results, insights gained, and suggestions for modifications.
• Establish, sustain, and enhance relationships with coalition partners and stakeholders.
• Represent NWF during coalition meetings, stakeholder gatherings, and discussions with decision-makers.
• Promote both internal and external education and information dissemination concerning offshore wind transmission and associated policy objectives.
• Collaborate with policy personnel to offer technical assistance to partners and coalitions.
• Supervise specific consultants, partner agreements, and relevant budgets as designated.
• Act as a primary point of contact for internal staff within the region.
• Complete administrative and operational duties that support effective campaign execution.
• A minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience.
• Experience in employing inclusive methods in organizing campaigns, leading multi-stakeholder coalitions, and collaborating across diverse groups.
• Proven campaign experience, including strategy development, tactic execution, and monitoring progress towards defined goals and deliverables.
• Understanding of or experience in advocating for policy solutions at the state level.
• Demonstrated proficiency in applying environmental justice organizing principles - acknowledges how race, gender, and other identities shape viewpoints, as well as the disproportionate effects our current energy system has on marginalized communities.
• Strategic thinking and vision - quickly understands the nuances of complex issues, identifying ways to address challenges with insight, equity, and a solutions-focused approach.
• Effectively guides partners in defining shared goals and strategies.
• Exceptional writing and communication skills; able to simplify complex policy and technical subjects into clear, engaging materials for varied audiences and to facilitate productive dialogues with partners and decision-makers.
• Strong interpersonal communication abilities, with a history of successfully navigating and enhancing established relationships with partners and stakeholders.
• A strong sense of ownership and meticulous attention to detail - takes initiative in developing their work and planning ahead.
• Resilient in the face of setbacks and adept at identifying alternative solutions.
