This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Provide practical and comprehensible training on merging traditional design engineering with contemporary AI-supported engineering methodologies.
• Assist mechanical engineering professionals in adapting to modern digital product development practices.
• Instruct on CAD systems, Generative Design, and the professional application of AI within engineering.
• Support participants in accomplishing design tasks more efficiently with the aid of AI.
• Educate on the proficient use of generative AI tools.
• Help participants critically assess technical solutions and results generated by AI.
• Enhance modern CAD and engineering workflows.
• Instruct on the responsible and cost-effective incorporation of AI into daily professional operations.
• Guide participants through the digital engineering process—from initial design tasks and AI-supported analysis to generative variant development, technical evaluation and optimization, documentation, and application in professional settings.
• Empower participants to thoughtfully and effectively utilize new technologies.
• Completed degree or technical education in mechanical engineering, product development, design engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in design engineering, product development, or CAD engineering.
• Strong proficiency in at least one professional CAD software, such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, CATIA, or Fusion.
• Hands-on experience with parametric design and modern CAD workflows.
• Comprehensive knowledge of current AI applications in engineering and CAD.
• Proven experience in utilizing generative AI solutions effectively, including ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Gemini, or similar systems.
• Familiarity with AI-supported features in modern CAD systems, such as Generative Design or automated optimization.
• Capability to evaluate AI-generated outputs on a solid technical foundation and to critically analyze them.
• Strong awareness of the possibilities, limitations, risks, and quality standards related to generative AI.
• Experience in teaching technical subjects to adults or relevant training experience.
• Ideally, experience in Generative Design and topology optimization.
• Awareness of current advancements in AI for engineering.
• Experience in analyzing and optimizing design processes.
• Understanding of parametric modeling and automated variant generation.
• Experience with prompt engineering for technical uses.
• Expertise in incorporating AI into existing engineering workflows.
• Experience assessing the technical feasibility, manufacturability, and functionality of AI-generated solutions.
• Knowledge of data protection, intellectual property, and the responsible use of AI within a corporate environment.
• Background in coaching, project work, or practice-oriented knowledge transfer.
• Familiarity with Autodesk Fusion Generative Design or similar solutions.
• Knowledge of Autodesk AI, SolidWorks AI, CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE AI, or comparable platforms.
• Experience with BIM-supported AI applications.
• Understanding of visual scripting solutions such as Dynamo or Grasshopper.
• Experience with automation tools like Python, Power Automate, or n8n.
• Knowledge of digital product development concepts, including Digital Twins, PLM, or simulation.
• Experience with AI-supported documentation and knowledge management.
• Familiarity with modern cloud-based CAD systems.
