This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Oversee all facets of a BWR Refueling Outage, from the planning stage to post-outage completion.
• Evaluate equipment failures, identify appropriate corrective measures, and oversee repairs.
• Organize work schedules to ensure necessary tasks are completed and prioritize accordingly.
• Maintain documentation to fulfill contractual obligations and track any deviations.
• Communicate with customers regarding timelines and performance metrics.
• Create procedures, problem reports, job hazard analyses, and field schedules.
• Engage in planning and executing projects, potentially handling pre-outage preparations.
• Contribute to the development of training materials and may facilitate training sessions.
• Supervise technicians, which includes on-the-job training, conducting pre-job briefs, defining task requirements, managing performance, and providing coaching.
• Record performance and address conflicts among coworkers.
• Ensure the safety and compliance of personnel and plant equipment.
• Work flexible hours and shifts as necessary.
• Travel to various remote job sites is required.
• Must obtain unescorted nuclear access, which includes a background check, psychological evaluation, and drug screening.
• High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience.
• In-depth knowledge of commonly utilized equipment, practices, procedures, and concepts within a specific field.
• Specific technical training and certification are required.
• Familiarity with company and industry safety and health policies and programs as needed for particular roles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to effectively communicate with staff, management, vendors, and clients.
• Ability to understand instructions, policies, procedures, and guidelines necessary for executing assigned tasks.
