Business Systems Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the reference architecture for OpenLoop's business systems landscape, encompassing current-state and target-state systems maps, data flow diagrams, and integration inventories.

• Establish enterprise standards for integration patterns, master data management, identity and access, as well as environment/change management.

• Assess and rationalize SaaS applications while leading build-vs-buy analysis, vendor selection, and technical due diligence.

• Collaborate with the AI Program team to integrate AI, agents, and automation into business workflows.

• Act as the technical architect across NetSuite, Jira, Confluence, Okta, Google Workspace, Slack Enterprise Grid, and related SaaS platforms.

• Design and manage integrations utilizing iPaaS/middleware, REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architectures.

• Implement data governance for golden records, master data hierarchies, and canonical entity models.

• Oversee identity architecture, including SSO, SCIM provisioning, group-based entitlements, joiner-mover-leaver automation, and least-privilege access models.

• Lead architecture reviews for implementations, upgrades, and integration projects; create solution designs, sequence diagrams, and decision records.

• Convert business requirements into scalable, adequately documented technical designs in collaboration with system administrators and business analysts.

• Assist in SOX, HIPAA, and SOC 2 audit preparedness through access controls, segregation of duties, logging, and audit trails.

• Develop and enforce standards for sandbox/production environment management, change control, release management, and rollback procedures.

• Provide guidance to Finance, People, RevOps, Clinical Operations, and Legal leaders on technology strategy.

• Mentor system administrators and analysts on architecture, integration patterns, and secure design principles.

• Present technical recommendations to executive stakeholders.

• Contribute to the IT roadmap, budgeting, and vendor management activities.

• Report to the Director of Business Applications and work closely with the VP of Enterprise Technology and the AI Program team.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise IT, business systems, or solutions architecture.

• 3+ years in an architectural role.

• Extensive hands-on experience with NetSuite, including implementation, customization, SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, and saved searches.

• Strong working knowledge of Okta, including SSO, SCIM, lifecycle management, and workflows.

• Experience in Google Workspace administration.

• Proficiency with Slack Enterprise Grid.

• Experience in architecting and building integrations across enterprise SaaS platforms utilizing iPaaS tools, REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks, and event streams.

• Proven experience in designing systems and access controls that comply with SOX, HIPAA, and SOC 2 frameworks.

• Solid understanding of identity, access management, and zero-trust principles.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to translate technical architecture into business language for non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience in healthcare, telehealth, or another highly regulated field is preferred.

• Familiarity with Atlassian tooling at scale, including Jira Service Management, Confluence, Atlassian Guard, and Automation is preferred.

• Exposure to Snowflake, BigQuery, Fivetran, and downstream analytics/reporting integrations is preferred.

• Experience in embedding AI/LLM capabilities into enterprise workflows is preferred.

• Relevant certifications such as NetSuite SuiteFoundation or ERP Consultant, Okta Certified Professional or Administrator, TOGAF, or equivalent are preferred.
