This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Convert business requirements into well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria using a behavior-driven development (BDD) approach.

• Lead sessions for gathering requirements and provide clear follow-up actions.

• Utilize extensive analytical methods to evaluate business processes, data flows, and system interactions, ensuring a thorough and insightful analysis.

• Negotiate and propose business solutions that align technical feasibility with delivery timelines and business needs.

• Ensure coherence between business requirements, platform capabilities, and opportunities for automation.

• Gain insight into operational processes and procedures, taking the initiative to implement process enhancements.

• Assist QA and development teams by clarifying requirements and addressing ambiguities.

• Identify risks, gaps, and dependencies early, driving proactive resolutions.

• Support roadmap initiatives to document the future vision of the tool or program.

• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.

• Contribute to the ICF Business Analysis Community of Practice.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst.

• Experience in supporting software systems that utilize or are built on open-source technologies.

• Proficiency in business process analysis or business process re-engineering.

• Effective client-facing communication skills.

• Experience as a member of cross-functional teams within an agile development environment (such as scrum or kanban).

• Strong background in leading requirements management.

• Skills in requirements elicitation and documentation.

• Ability to define user stories.

• Competence in determining acceptance criteria.

• Over 3 years of experience with Jira (or similar Agile project management tools like AzureDevops).

• Comprehensive knowledge of the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), Requirements Management, and Scope Management methodologies.

• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and product management skills are essential.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.

• Must be a US Citizen due to federal contract stipulations.
