Business Solutions Consultant – Dynamics Business Central

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• You will support our clients in the implementation of the funeral module integrated with the financial module of Dynamics 365 Business Central, ensuring a seamless deployment between the parent organization and its subsidiaries, customized to meet the specific needs of the sector.

• Work closely with pre-sales architects to evaluate the feasibility of suggested solutions, estimate necessary efforts, and assess impacts on existing processes.

• Contribute to developing the project plan in collaboration with the project manager, which includes defining, sequencing, and prioritizing activities.

• Facilitate requirements-gathering workshops, analyze functional gaps, document requirements, and design the functional architecture tailored to each client’s context.

• Collaborate with technical subject-matter experts to create a robust solution architecture, founded on comprehensive documentation of functional and technical requirements.

• Assist clients by providing recommendations and implementing financial guidelines and procedures that fulfill their needs while adhering to best practices.

• Draft detailed functional specifications based on clients’ articulated needs, ensuring clarity and usability for technical teams.

• Develop test scenarios, coordinate and engage in functional tests (UAT), identify issues, validate fixes, and ensure the solution aligns with defined requirements.

• Monitor and validate key project milestones, confirming the completion of critical deliverables before progressing to the next phase.

• Serve as a point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries regarding deployed solutions and following up on requests.

• Document the final solution and facilitate a structured knowledge transfer to the support team or end users, ensuring the solution's long-term viability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

• A professional accounting designation from the Order of Chartered Professional Accountants is a significant asset.

• Minimum of 3 years’ consulting experience with the financial modules of Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC).

• Experience in accounting (3 years) is a plus.

• Familiarity with the manufacturing or distribution sector is advantageous.

• Strong understanding of financial operations, including general ledger, financial statements, accounts payable and receivable, cash management, fixed assets, billing, financial reporting, multi-currency, and multi-entity management.

• Fluency in French and advanced English required due to the nature of the position, which involves regular communication with clients outside Quebec.

• Occasional travel may be necessary.

• The MB-800 Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) Functional Associate certification is a plus.
