This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Oversee the design, development, testing, and implementation of analytics and business intelligence (BI) solutions for department leadership, faculty, and staff.
• Collaborate with leadership to evaluate analytics requirements and establish trusted advisory relationships.
• Drive solution development while managing multiple simultaneous initiatives characterized by significant complexity and risk.
• Coordinate analytics efforts throughout the department's clinical enterprise, engaging with physicians, advanced practice providers, revenue cycle team members, and health system executives.
• Head the Clinical Business Intelligence team.
• Create and maintain performance-optimized BI solutions informed by data warehouse architectures and user specifications.
• Deliver dashboards, quality assurance, and clinical operations reporting utilizing clinical, financial, and operational datasets.
• Develop and sustain comprehensive solution documentation.
• Mentor junior BI developers.
• Design, prototype, test, and implement enterprise BI solutions through data visualization and storytelling techniques.
• Collaborate with business analysts, subject matter experts (SMEs), source system data analysts, data architects, ETL developers, data warehouse architects, and data modelers.
• Review and authorize complex design/build documentation.
• Establish and document enterprise BI development standards and address escalated BI development challenges.
• Evaluate and approve BI developer resource efforts and timelines across projects.
• Supervise and guide the Business Intelligence Team.
• Leverage healthcare industry knowledge and clinical/business workflows to inform solution design.
• Manage projects and initiatives with substantial complexity and risk.
• Proven track record of applying relational thinking to write and validate queries against various data sources.
• Demonstrated ability to create analytic solutions including reports, dashboards, and business plans.
• Proven experience identifying the needs and requirements of clients in pursuit of analytic solutions.
• Successful utilization of both quantitative and qualitative methods to uncover opportunities.
• Professional understanding of data access, data security, data sensitivity, and data confidentiality.
• Proficient in SQL, R, Python, and other analytic techniques, tools, and platforms to analyze large datasets from multiple sources.
• Capable of designing, creating, and maintaining dashboards, business plans, forecasts, projections, presentations, models, algorithms, and statistical and financial analyses.
• At least three years of relevant experience in data analysis or analytics within healthcare is preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience with Epic Chronicles, Epic Registries, Epic Clarity, and/or Epic Caboodle Data Warehouse is preferred.
• A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
