Business Intelligence Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design comprehensive BI and data architecture from start to finish.

• Create and integrate customizable dashboards, self-service reporting, and predictive analytics within the CMM application.

• Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations.

• Manage data replication and feeds for downstream stakeholders and external systems.

• Oversee system performance to meet SLA response times, ensuring dashboard load times are five seconds or less.

• Promote user engagement with dashboards and reporting tools.

• Collaborate with product owners, data engineers, and UX designers to embed analytics features into the CMM user experience.

• Convert business requirements and KPIs into technical designs and actionable insights.

• Construct and improve dashboards and reports using approved BI tools.

• Implement and verify SQL logic, calculations, and metric definitions.

• Coordinate the resolution of upstream data issues and curate data for reporting purposes.

• Apply visualization standards and maintain proper documentation.

• Ensure that reporting artifacts comply with privacy, access control, and data handling requirements.

• Establish and uphold data governance frameworks, standards, and best practices.

• Enhance BI platforms through performance tuning, automation, metadata management, predictive analytics, and self-service BI.

• Assist in the production of architecture design documents, governance artifacts, data lineage, and metadata catalog processes.

• Support the architecture, design, and implementation of AI/ML solutions in compliance with government standards.

• Maintain a master AI/ML Capability Register.

• Promote responsible AI/ML practices, addressing transparency, risk mitigation, fairness, and compliance.

• Contribute to the Case Management Modernization Program for the Administrative Office of the US Courts.


⛳️ Requirements

• MA/MS degree with over 10 years of general experience in information systems and at least 8 years of specialized experience, or equivalent alternatives: HS with over 16 years, AA/AS with over 14 years, BA/BS with over 12 years, or Doctorate/Ph.D. with more than 9 years.

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data transformations for large-scale analytical data systems.

• Strong practical experience with Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or AWS QuickSight.

• Advanced SQL capabilities.

• Familiarity with analytical data models and semantic layers.

• Experience in delivering reporting within regulated or high-sensitivity data environments.

• Exceptional oral and written presentation and communication skills.

• Ability to engage with high-level customer stakeholders and foster customer relationships.

• Experience utilizing industry tools, solutions, methods, best practices, and emerging technologies.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to formulate and articulate recommendations for improvement.

• Capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• US citizenship is not mandatory.

• Preferred certifications include data visualization and storytelling, Tableau certifications, Power BI Data Analyst, Certified Data Management Professional, Snowflake SnowPro Core, Databricks Certified Data Professional, AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, and AWS Certified Data Engineer.
