Business Intelligence and Data Analytics Consultant II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Shapes strategy through the application of data and analytics.

• Leverages expertise in data and analytics to mentor and develop junior analysts.

• Effectively communicates and presents project details to the team and delivers updates and presentations to management.

• Establishes, adjusts, documents, and conveys standards of practice regarding data retrieval, manipulation, quality, reporting, and analytics.

• Gathers, cleans, organizes, and analyzes moderately complex data to derive insights about business outcomes.

• Monitors and assesses business initiatives against key performance indicators, providing results and recommendations to management.

• Ensures that business insights obtained from data analytics are accessible to individuals lacking technical skills.

• Offers technical expertise in the advanced development of Power BI dashboards, including the creation and enhancement of line-of-business reporting for Claims while broadening analytical insights on existing projects.

• Collaborates with stakeholders to present findings, articulate reporting products, and translate technical insights into straightforward business recommendations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience.

• A 4-year Bachelor’s degree.

• Prior experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

• Preferred technical expertise in Power BI, including experience in building dashboards, enhancing reporting capabilities, and developing analytical insights for business stakeholders.

• Familiarity with data languages and database tools such as SQL, DAX, M Code, or Oracle is preferred; candidates are not required to have experience with all of them.

• Ability to present technical products, reporting outputs, and analytical recommendations to stakeholders in a concise and business-focused manner.

• Experience in Claims is preferred.
