Business Intelligence Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and creation of sophisticated Power BI reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders and/or clients.

• Act as a Power BI subject-matter expert, offering guidance on best practices for DAX, data modeling, Power Query, and visualization design.

• Create intricate DAX measures and calculations to facilitate analytical use cases.

• Enhance report performance, dataset sizes, refresh strategies, and semantic models.

• Collaborate closely with BI Engineers and data platform teams to provide insights on data structures, dimensional models, and semantic layers.

• Ensure data models are optimized for business intelligence usage and high performance.

• Develop and uphold both technical and design standards for business intelligence products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical discipline (Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.).

• Over 5 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data visualization.

• Expert-level proficiency with Power BI (including Advanced DAX, Data modeling and semantic layers, and Power BI Service administration concepts).

• Strong SQL skills and experience working directly with enterprise data warehouses.

• Proven experience collaborating with BI Engineers or data engineers on data modeling decisions.

• Experience working with Snowflake, Azure, Databricks, or comparable cloud data platforms.

• Intermediate to advanced experience in Tableau is highly preferred.

• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated data environments is strongly preferred.
