This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +26 more states.
• Design and develop intricate SQL queries to consolidate auction data within AWS.
• Organize extensive event data into a unified data warehouse.
• Construct and uphold data models that outline fundamental business metrics.
• Ensure that Finance, Technology, and Business teams are utilizing consistent and trustworthy data.
• Spearhead the transition from outdated reporting tools to Looker.
• Create LookML models and dashboards to monitor signal volume, API performance, and trends in customer activity.
• Collaborate with Finance to assess unit economics, margin by signal type, and revenue attribution.
• Work alongside Technology teams to oversee signal delivery and data health using AWS logs and Datadog.
• Partner with Business Units to develop profitability views illustrating which signal channels generate the most value.
• Ensure data integrity across Last Activity API and Activity Signal products.
• Detect and rectify data discrepancies and latency issues before they affect reporting or billing accuracy.
• Establish and document analytics standards and best practices for the wider team.
• Over 5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or data engineering roles.
• Proven experience managing large-scale datasets and overseeing core business metrics from start to finish.
• Proficient in advanced SQL with the capability to query substantial, complex datasets.
• Experience in cloud data environments such as AWS and DataBricks.
• Skilled in creating dashboards and data models in Looker (LookML) or leading transitions to Looker.
• Experience handling event-based data, API logs, marketing, or streaming data.
• Ability to convert large datasets into clear business insights and performance metrics.
• Strong grasp of financial metrics including LTV, CAC, and gross margin.
• Capacity to collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Engineering, and business stakeholders, and to influence at a senior level.
• Familiarity with AWS / Snowflake for monitoring data pipelines and system performance.
• Experience in analyzing API products, signal data, or event-driven systems.
• Background in mentoring analysts or establishing team-wide analytics standards.
