Business Intelligence Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee ETL processes — Assist in the development, troubleshooting, and maintenance of ETL workflows.

• Collaborate with SQL & Data Extraction – Engage with various teams to comprehend data structures and schemas, then develop and modify SQL queries alongside other methods for data ingestion.

• Develop Dashboards & Reports – Utilize Domo to create intuitive dashboards and visualizations that provide stakeholders with key insights.

• Extract Insights – Analyze data and trends under guidance to uncover insights and outliers.

• Validate Data & Ensure Accuracy – Guarantee that datasets are precise, complete, and well-organized.

• Support the BI Platform – Assist in managing datasets, dashboards, cards, and permissions, as well as troubleshooting user issues.

• Document Processes – Maintain comprehensive documentation for datasets, ETLs, and lessons learned to establish a knowledge repository.

• Continuously enhance, improve, and learn – Seek opportunities to optimize workflows and increase efficiency while staying updated with best practices in Domo, data analytics, and BI.

• Uphold strict confidentiality and professionalism regarding sensitive information.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Fundamental SQL knowledge (sufficient to extract data without being overly complex).

• A self-motivated learner who enjoys taking ownership of projects and seeing them through from inception to completion.

• Focus on future-proofing — you aim for sustainable solutions rather than quick fixes; design queries, ETLs, and dashboards to be scalable and reusable as business requirements evolve.

• Experience in creating comprehensive dashboards (bonus points for providing examples).

• A history of contributing to documentation/knowledge bases (e.g., Confluence).

• A background in retail sales or tourism, aiding in the understanding of business needs.

• A talent for automating repetitive tasks (e.g., Power Automate, Shortcuts, Workflows, Python, Power Query).

• Experience with AI to enhance work quality and speed beyond basic LLM chats (MCPs, skills, Cowork, Code).

• Proficiency in scripting languages, particularly Python.
