This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Deliver analytic assistance to the designated business or clinical area.
• Gather, cleanse, and analyze data sets to address inquiries and resolve issues.
• Recognize opportunities for enhancement and aid in the evaluation of current processes and improvement initiatives.
• Observe consultation methods and document project requirements and scope.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and organizations to design and create reporting solutions and analytical studies.
• Organize projects and request-completion tasks with guidance from seasoned analysts.
• Provide time and effort estimates based on collected requirements.
• Oversee projects under supervision.
• Suggest analytical methods and additional analyses or reports based on business inquiries and findings.
• Create, validate, and run basic queries.
• Generate fundamental reports and conduct routine data analysis.
• Interpret results and offer recommendations under the guidance of senior analysts or supervisors.
• Present analyses and reports to internal clients and stakeholders.
• Identify and assist in resolving data quality issues during profiling, testing, or validation.
• Engage in strategic departmental initiatives.
• Share insights, suggestions, resources, and knowledge with team members.
• Adhere to departmental policies and organizational procedures.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) (Required).
• At least 6 years of relevant experience (Required).
• Relevant experience can include a mix of applicable work experience and acquired degrees.
• An Associate’s Degree equates to 2 years of relevant experience; a Bachelor’s Degree equates to 4 years of relevant experience.
• Understanding of data structures, programming, and statistics.
• Familiarity with basic descriptive and inferential statistics.
• Practical knowledge of relevant source systems, databases, and data marts.
• Proficiency in business intelligence software systems utilized at Geisinger.
• Ability to create, validate, and execute basic queries.
• Strong skills in Communication, Information Technology Project Management, and Interpersonal Communication.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to articulate data analysis results accurately and clearly.
• Must adhere to department policies and procedures, including request intake/fulfillment, change management, and data governance practices.
