Business Integration Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Spearhead a structured discovery process for each newly acquired business during their onboarding into the integration program.

• Document existing processes, systems, data flows, commercial models, and organizational structures.

• Create a comprehensive, evidenced baseline of the current state that guides integration design decisions and highlights early risks.

• Share discovery outputs with the Enterprise Architect to aid in end-state architecture design.

• Convert discovery insights and integration goals into organized, actionable requirements.

• Collaborate with workstream leads and business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather functional and non-functional requirements across commercial, operational, technological, and human dimensions.

• Manage the requirements register for each integration, ensuring traceability from business needs to delivery.

• Confirm requirements with stakeholders and secure sign-off before solution design begins.

• Outline the target operating model for each acquired business after integration, addressing organizational structure, roles, processes, and operational methods.

• Identify discrepancies between the current state and the target model, framing these as integration decisions or inputs for workstreams.

• Ensure the operating model aligns with Citation Group's broader organizational standards and the specific commercial rationale for the acquisition.

• Map comprehensive customer journeys for all cross-sell opportunities uncovered during the integration process.

• Collaborate with Commercial, Marketing, and Product stakeholders to design target journeys that maximize revenue potential from the acquired customer base.

• Ensure that cross-sell journey designs are documented and delivered to implementation teams with sufficient clarity for action.

• Design target-state processes across key integration workstreams, including customer onboarding, account management, billing, support, and offboarding.

• Create process maps (swimlane or equivalent) with the necessary detail for system configuration, training, and operational handover.

• Identify process risks, dependencies, and exception flows, ensuring these are recorded in the program RAID log.

• Assist the Integration Programme Director in maintaining the integrity of the business case throughout delivery, ensuring integration activities align with the original value creation thesis.

• Highlight significant deviations from the initial commercial rationale and present these to SteerCo with supporting evidence.

• Participate in post-integration reviews by assessing whether business case assumptions were accurate and documenting lessons learned for future acquisitions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst in complex change, transformation, or integration initiatives.

• Strong skills in process analysis and mapping; capable of conducting independent discovery and clearly documenting findings.

• Ability to translate business complexities into structured requirements that delivery teams can implement.

• Experience in designing operating models or customer journeys within a commercial context.

• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills; comfortable collaborating with both senior leaders and operational SMEs.

• Excellent written communication skills; capable of producing high-quality documentation under program time constraints.

• Experience in M&A integration or post-deal transformation (Desirable).

• Familiarity with SaaS, eLearning, HR tech, or compliance services industries (Desirable).

• Exposure to CRM/billing platform migrations (Salesforce, Dynamics, Chargebee, Stripe) (Desirable).

• Understanding of commercial cross-sell and upsell processes (Desirable).

• Experience working with HR, Payroll, WFM, Health & Safety, Compliance, ISO, verification products (Desirable).

• Project Management skills (Desirable).

• Experience in a private equity-backed, multi-entity environment (Desirable).
