Business Insights Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Transform intricate operational telemetry, task logs, and model evaluation data into actionable business insights and automated workflows.

• Craft optimized SQL queries across Google BigQuery and Amazon Redshift to extract, aggregate, and manipulate large-scale operational records.

• Create, deploy, and sustain custom automations, triggers, and lightweight internal Web Applications utilizing Google Apps Script.

• Monitor and evaluate throughput metrics, such as queue latency, handling times, reassignment ratios, and SLA compliance across operational teams.

• Design and maintain automated dashboards suitable for executives in Looker Studio and advanced Google Sheets.

• Assess ground-truth labeling accuracy and classifier outputs using Precision, Recall, F1-Score, and Confusion Matrices.

• Execute statistical root cause analyses of performance bottlenecks, triage errors, and resolve data discrepancies.

• Convert operational data into compelling business narratives and practical stakeholder recommendations.

• Detect operational bottlenecks and develop automated solutions to minimize manual reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communications Engineering (ECE), Information Technology, or a related quantitative field.

• Over 2 years of professional analytics experience integrating SQL, dashboarding, and workflow automation.

• Demonstrated experience writing JavaScript-based scripts in Google Apps Script for automating data pipelines, syncing data across Google Sheets, triggering email alerts, and interacting with external APIs or BigQuery.

• Background in developing custom functions, scheduled triggers, and interactive tools in Google Sheets.

• Hands-on expertise in querying Google BigQuery and Amazon Redshift.

• Strong proficiency in Common Table Expressions (CTEs), window functions, partitions, and query optimization techniques for large datasets.

• Expertise in complex Google Sheets formulas, including QUERY, FILTER, ARRAYFORMULA, INDEX/MATCH, regex functions, and data normalization.

• Extensive experience in creating interactive dashboards in Looker Studio linked with BigQuery and Google Sheets data sources.

• Solid understanding of classification metrics: Precision, Recall, F1-score, False Positives/Negatives.

• Capability to design sampling plans and statistical methodologies to audit labeling accuracy and task quality.

• Ability to interpret raw operational data into high-level business narratives and actionable recommendations for stakeholders.

• Proactive in identifying operational bottlenecks and taking initiative to create automated solutions.

• Experience with Python (pandas, numpy) for exploratory data analysis is a plus.

• Previous experience in supporting autonomous vehicle (AV), geospatial, or large-scale AI annotation operations is a plus.

• Familiarity with basic HTML/CSS front-ends through Google Apps Script Web Apps is a plus.
