Business Immigration Associate Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide clients with legal counsel and updates on their cases, typically without direct supervision for standard matters.

• Conduct or assist in consultations with clients.

• Accompany clients to interviews and other in-person engagements.

• Develop case strategies for assigned cases.

• Oversee the preparation of case materials (drafts, filings, etc.).

• Draft case documents as instructed, including complex materials that are unsuitable for support staff (RFE responses, intricate fact patterns, etc.).

• Act as a primary point of contact for clients (often in collaboration with Case Managers) to ensure swift and efficient communication that positively reflects on the firm.

• Lead or participate in case status meetings with legal support personnel as needed and appropriate.

• Review and address questions or issues raised by legal support staff and offer guidance on resolution.

• Serve as the primary/final reviewer for drafts and final submissions.

• Maintain organized and legally-compliant client files.

• Conduct legal research and stay current with relevant changes in immigration law and agency practices.

• Engage in mandatory professional development activities.

• Represent Green and Spiegel at client and industry events, as directed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent qualification.

• Membership in the State Bar.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent organizational capabilities.

• Willingness to embrace additional responsibilities and learn new concepts.

• Ability to demonstrate initiative and collaborate effectively as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to adapt to firm-specific software.
