Business Development Specialist, Bilingual Preferred

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Develops, promotes, and implements programs, services, and resources to further the mission of FCF.

• Provides training and consultation support to child care businesses to enhance their business practices and strengthen their operations.

• Assists both new and existing child care businesses facing financial challenges.

• Analyzes financial and program data while offering valuable insights.

• Aids in program reporting as necessary.

• Facilitates small-group and community engagement activities to support FCF’s community-based initiatives.

• Performs additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

• At least four years of experience in financial management, planning, and/or training.

• Proven experience in consulting, training, lending, and/or financial analysis.

• Background in working with small businesses or experience in owning/operating a small business.

• A strategic thinker and planner who is also an effective implementer.

• Energetic, enthusiastic, and possesses a can-do attitude.

• Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.

• Knowledgeable about state child care licensing regulations.

• Direct experience with child care is preferred.

• Experience in resource development and/or fundraising is preferred.

• Familiarity with private sector engagement and partnership is preferred.

• Public speaking experience is preferred.
