Business Development Representative, Energy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Actively seek out and engage new clients through phone calls, email marketing campaigns, and outreach on LinkedIn within the oil & gas sectors.

• Cultivate and nurture relationships with refineries, pipelines, terminals, midstream operators, producers, and energy service companies.

• Identify and progress opportunities for hydrocarbon analysis, fuels and lubricants testing, flow assurance assessments, and measurement services.

• Discover client requirements related to product quality, custody transfer, blending, and flow assurance.

• Evaluate opportunities based on scope, measurement specifications, volume, turnaround expectations, and current service providers.

• Initiate conversations regarding analytical methods, instrumentation, and field measurement capabilities.

• Arrange meetings and provide well-defined, qualified opportunities to Account Executives.

• Keep precise records of activities, leads, and pipeline management in Salesforce or other CRM systems.

• Collaborate with laboratory and field teams to ensure alignment between opportunities and technical capabilities, instrumentation, and service capacity.

• Consistently achieve or surpass activity, lead generation, and pipeline goals in a metrics-driven environment.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is highly preferred.

• Demonstrated experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles within the oil & gas, petroleum, laboratory services, and/or technical sectors.

• Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), LinkedIn, and sales outreach tools is preferred.

• Experience with hydrocarbon testing, fuels and lubricants analysis, flow assurance, or custody transfer measurement is strongly preferred.
