This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Achieve or surpass sales growth objectives for the Direct Rx business as well as other strategic goals, including premium lenses, coatings, dispensing tools and equipment, or essential sales initiatives.
• Utilize the CRM Account Classification system to segment territory and identify key customer targets to enhance sales within the territory.
• Analyze and assess each customer’s store operations, financial information, business models & profit drivers to formulate value-based sales strategies that positively affect the company’s finances.
• Engage in pre-call planning, setting call objectives, and anticipating potential objections; build relationships as a trusted advisor/consultant based on understanding motivations.
• Drive sales discussions with Eye Care Professionals (ECPs), challenging and persuading them to alter their behaviors.
• Establish agreement at each stage of the sales process, eliminate obstacles, and finalize deals.
• Develop innovative tactical and strategic methods to achieve and surpass business goals when confronted with challenges or customer concerns.
• Treat the territory as a personal franchise by designing and executing a territory plan aimed at achieving objectives, considering necessary investments and financial repercussions in customer strategy development.
• Enhance sales by effectively conveying the advantages and benefits of Carl Zeiss Vision products and services to Eye Care Professionals.
• Support and execute national marketing strategies, making use of digital tools and applications.
• Organize, plan, develop, and conduct on-site individual and group training sessions as well as educational seminars to boost demand for Carl Zeiss Vision labs, lenses, and dispensing tools.
• Maximize and implement customer marketing initiatives to meet goals and objectives.
• Foster a positive, productive, and collaborative working relationship with Carl Zeiss Vision employees and colleagues.
• Maintain the highest ethical standards in every customer interaction, aligning with Carl Zeiss philosophies and leadership principles.
• Enter accurate and timely reports through Salesforce.com.
• Manage travel expenses efficiently while employing smart spending practices.
• Prepare and submit expense reports promptly.
• A BS or BA in Business, Public Administration, Marketing, or a related field is strongly preferred.
• Over 2 years of experience in a successful business-to-business sales environment, ideally in Rx sales, optical, medical device, or retail operations industries with Fortune 500 companies is strongly preferred.
• A robust sales focus, with the capacity to advance key opportunities through the sales cycle and provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts using the company's CRM tool.
• Ability to excel in a competitive setting.
• Proven experience in devising plans to meet revenue and profitability targets.
• Strong consultative, conceptual, and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to cultivate influential relationships with customers.
• A disciplined, results-driven approach to sales along with strong time management capabilities.
• Proven ability to function as a team player and collaborate effectively with others.
• Capability to influence situations and individuals.
• A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously.
• ABO and/or optical experience is preferred.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Demonstrated proficiency with standard MS Office applications and company technology devices (Laptop, iPad, iPhone, etc.) for managing the territory and product orders.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com is preferred.
