This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee objectives and strategies for the designated Northern California territory within the U.S. Independent Eye Care Professional Channel.
• Identify, nurture, and strengthen business relationships with both new and existing clients.
• Conduct sales discussions with optometrists, ophthalmologists, opticians, and other optical professionals.
• Advocate for ZEISS products, services, and practice-based solutions by employing consultative and conceptual selling techniques.
• Maintain customer records and activities within the CRM system.
• Design and execute account-specific initiatives, business plans, and territory strategies.
• Achieve or surpass sales growth objectives for Direct Rx business, premium lenses, coatings, dispensing tools and equipment, and key sales initiatives.
• Analyze the territory to pinpoint key customer targets using the CRM Account Classification system.
• Assess customer operations, financial information, business frameworks, and profit drivers to formulate value-based sales tactics.
• Prepare for sales calls by planning objectives, guiding sales discussions, fostering agreement, eliminating obstacles, and finalizing deals.
• Articulate the advantages and benefits of Carl Zeiss Vision products and services.
• Aid in the execution of national marketing strategies utilizing digital tools and applications.
• Facilitate on-site individual, group, and office training sessions and educational seminars.
• Implement customer marketing initiatives.
• Build cooperative relationships with Carl Zeiss Vision employees and peers.
• Provide accurate and timely reports through Salesforce.com.
• Manage travel expenses and submit expense reports punctually.
• A minimum of 3 years in a successful business-to-business sales role, ideally in Rx sales, optical, medical device, or retail operations with Fortune 500 companies.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Strong sales orientation and capacity to advance opportunities through the sales process.
• Proficiency in delivering detailed and accurate sales forecasts using the company’s CRM tool.
• Capability to devise plans aimed at achieving revenue and profitability targets.
• Effective consultative, conceptual, and negotiation abilities.
• Skill in establishing influential relationships with customers.
• A disciplined and results-driven approach to sales.
• Strong time management capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and function as a team player.
• Proficient in influencing situations and individuals.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency in standard MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with company technology devices such as laptops, iPads, and iPhones.
• Knowledge of Salesforce.com is preferred.
• A BS or BA in Business, Public Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related field is strongly preferred.
