This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Surpass designated revenue and profit objectives on a quarterly basis and in alignment with annual targets.

• Build and nurture relationships with customers and identify opportunities within the assigned sector, as well as explore new markets as directed by leadership.

• Sustain and enhance relationships with customers and vendors.

• Oversee and deliver a weekly pipeline of sales prospects, quotes, and orders.

• Generate insights and opportunities within this market category at both the Headquarters and Programmatic levels.

• Collaborate with customers to establish requirements for future bids and contract quotations for products and services offered by the company.

• Travel to client sites in the vertical market and participate in symposiums, conferences, tradeshows, and exhibitions, while conducting vendor ride-alongs to foster sales opportunities.

• Proactively gather competitive and customer intelligence, and relay market intelligence, opportunities, and risks to the company.

• Provide price estimates and set appropriate credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery schedules.

• Acquire knowledge and utilize internal systems for processing quotes and orders.

• Recommend products to customers based on their needs and preferences.

• Execute administrative tasks such as report preparation, maintaining sales records, and filing expense reports.

• Support Business Development Managers in similar tasks until completion.

• Accurately process quotes received through written, electronic, or phone communications.

• Formulate a marketing strategy to engage new contacts within the current account base.

• Implement a collaborative inside/outside team approach to sales, territory/customer strategy, vendor relations, and dealer records.

• Conduct ongoing market research on specific business channels and assist in crafting market strategies with both market and channel sales teams.

• Design and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to meet revenue objectives and broaden the company's presence within the DOD community.

• Identify, qualify, and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities and contract bids.

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with government program and technical personnel, in addition to key military stakeholders.

• Lead the creation of persuasive and compliant proposals, collaborating closely with internal teams.

• Maintain a thorough understanding of DOD programs, platforms, and acquisition processes, including contracting vehicles like GSA, ECAT, EMALL, and Prime Vendor schedules.

• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and military engagements to gather market intelligence and enhance brand visibility.

• Provide precise sales forecasts and consistently report on business development activities and market trends.


⛳️ Requirements

• Established understanding of Government Sales and Federal Contracting.

• Capability to complete tasks within stipulated deadlines.

• Proficient in executing skilled negotiations.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Ability to address customer needs while adhering to company policies.

• Capability to obtain security clearance, if necessary.

• Must hold a valid driver’s license.

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or a related technical discipline is required. A Master's degree is highly preferred.

• At least 5-10 years of experience in defense sales and business development, with a proven history of securing DOD contracts.

• Previous military experience is greatly preferred.

• Demonstrated experience with DOD’s procurement and contracting processes.

• Proven track record of working with and influencing senior business and government leaders.
