This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Implement outbound prospecting strategies to create qualified meetings and build a pipeline in your designated territory.
• Identify New Logo opportunities and growth prospects within existing customer accounts.
• Engage in high-level discovery discussions with target accounts to assess business needs, qualify opportunities, and establish Sales Accepted Opportunities (SAOs).
• Achieve or surpass monthly and quarterly BDR-sourced Sales Accepted Opportunity (SAO) goals (e.g., Stage 1 and Stage 3 opportunities) by effectively converting qualified prospects into opportunities.
• Research and prioritize target accounts leveraging business and industry insights to identify key stakeholders, uncover critical events, and formulate tailored outreach strategies.
• Implement a multi-touch outreach strategy (calls, emails, social media, etc.) to all prospects in your assigned territory using Outreach to enhance engagement and conversion rates.
• Manage, monitor, and accurately report all prospecting activities and pipeline in Salesforce to ensure clear visibility into performance and forecasting.
• Collaborate with Field, Corporate, and Digital Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams to develop targeted account lists, campaigns, and calling strategies. Participate in regional marketing events to engage attendees, generate leads, and drive qualified Sales Accepted Opportunities (SAOs).
• Document and continuously refine Business Development Representative processes in the GitLab handbook in collaboration with your Business Development Manager. Mentor new BDR hires to expedite their onboarding and help them navigate key accounts.
• Positive and dynamic phone skills, excellent listening abilities, and strong writing capabilities.
• Capability to prioritize tasks, manage a high volume of outreach, and consistently follow through on prospecting efforts.
• Proven track record of taking initiative, overcoming challenges, and independently driving projects or activities to successful conclusions.
• Alignment with our values and adherence to those principles in the workplace.
• Understanding of business processes, roles, and organizational structures.
• Proficient in using Salesforce, Sales Navigator, and Outreach or similar prospecting and sequencing tools.
• Proficiency in English, our company’s primary language, is essential for effective communication.
• Prior experience in the tech industry or in sales development, marketing, or sales is advantageous.
