• Engage in high-volume prospecting within DoW accounts through a well-rounded approach of calls, emails, and LinkedIn interactions.
• Work in close collaboration with Account Executives to gain insights into their territories, priorities, and account strategies, utilizing this knowledge to create focused campaigns and a qualified pipeline.
• Assess both inbound and outbound interest in GitLab's AI-driven DevSecOps platform, ensuring a strong alignment and seamless transition to sales partners.
• Leverage GitLab's sales tools and systems to monitor activities, keep precise account and contact information, and report on pipeline and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with public sector and enablement teams to integrate specialized DoW training into your daily prospecting approach.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of outreach messaging, playbooks, and processes by providing feedback from prospects and AEs to the broader BDR and public sector teams.
• Demonstrated experience as a Business Development Representative or in a comparable role with a focus on outbound prospecting and pipeline development.
• Background in prospecting within DoD or federal accounts.
• Enthusiasm for GitLab's Public Sector mission and an understanding of the technological challenges faced by the DoW.
• Capability to swiftly adapt to new processes and tools vital for BDR success (such as Outreach, Zoominfo, Cognism, Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.).
• Energetic phone presence, exceptional listening abilities, and strong written communication skills.
• Proven history of consistently meeting or surpassing daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs.
• A proactive self-starter with verifiable accomplishments in a pipeline-focused position.
• Alignment with our values and the ability to operate in accordance with them.
• Understanding of business processes, organizational hierarchies, and decision-making within large federal or defense entities.
• A determined personality with a desire to thrive and succeed in a complex, long-cycle sales environment.
