Business Development & Partnerships Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Assist with VRChat’s partnership and business development efforts in Japan.

• Collaborate closely with the Head of Japan Growth and various cross-functional teams.

• Aid in coordinating partnerships, overseeing project execution, supporting contract processes, and ensuring that key initiatives progress effectively.

• Enjoy both managing relationships and executing operational tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4-5 years of professional experience in business.

• Proven experience in coordinating with partners, vendors, or external stakeholders.

• Background in supporting contract-related processes and business operations.

• Native-level proficiency in Japanese and business-level English communication abilities.

• Excellent organizational skills with the capability to handle multiple priorities concurrently.

• Proactive, detail-oriented, and willing to take ownership of projects and follow through.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Preferred: Experience in startups or small, agile teams.

• Experience in sectors such as entertainment, gaming, XR, creator economy, or IP-related industries.

• Experience collaborating with international teams and cross-cultural stakeholders.

• Familiarity with VRChat, virtual worlds, creator platforms, or UGC ecosystems.
