Business Development Manager – Utilities

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Identify and assess new opportunities within the utility sector (electric, gas, water).

• Develop and implement business development strategies aimed at surpassing targets.

• Cultivate trusted relationships with utility executives and key stakeholders.

• Manage the entire sales process from initial discovery through negotiation to closing.

• Collaborate with engineering, product, marketing, and legal teams to create tailored solutions.

• Evaluate market trends, customer requirements, and competitive factors.

• Deliver proposals, updates, and insights to both customers and internal teams.

• Represent the organization at industry events to enhance pipeline and brand visibility.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline (MBA preferred).

• Over 7 years of experience in business development and sales within the utilities sector.

• Strong understanding of utility industry trends, challenges, and regulatory frameworks.

• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and grow accounts effectively.

• Excellent skills in communication, negotiation, and executive-level presentations.

• Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and comfort with reporting/forecasting; willingness to travel frequently.
