• Cultivate and exhibit a comprehensive understanding of all products, capabilities, and our customer-centric value proposition for the Strategic Vertical Markets within the Americas Region, collaborating with our distribution partner network.
• Take charge of developing applications alongside our distributor partners and oversee all technical phases of our sales process, from initial design concepts to successfully securing new business.
• Formulate and implement a business development strategy aimed at expanding both existing and prospective customer bases through engineered solutions.
• Foster and sustain customer relationships by closely engaging with decision-makers in engineering, R&D, and procurement departments, utilizing the Miller Heiman strategic selling methodology in partnership with our distributors.
• Generate value by leveraging your knowledge and technical skills to assist customers in enhancing their equipment and machine designs through unique control products and systems.
• Establish yourself as the trusted leader in Strategic Vertical Markets by mastering and delivering product training for our distributor partners at customer locations and trade shows.
• Oversee new business opportunities and document activities throughout the funnel process utilizing Salesforce CRM.
• Deliver timely and comprehensive reports and other information as requested by management.
• Create content for webinars, white papers, and various marketing initiatives.
• Aid in new product development and growth hub strategies.
• Manage and present intricate projects throughout the sales cycle.
• Educate and operate in a consistent manner aligned with the principles of the IMI Way.
• Dedication to personal growth in technical proficiency, product knowledge, and professional sales skills.
• Proficient understanding of electric actuation, motion control, fluid power, and/or mechatronics.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably with an engineering focus.
• Over 5 years of technical and commercial sales experience or a combination of the following: over 5 years in outside industrial sales or field application engineering, over 5 years in distribution or direct account management, or over 5 years in technical support & application engineering roles.
