• Engage with senior executive stakeholders across Pathology Networks, ICBs, NHS England, and NHS Trusts, establishing credibility and trust at the Director and C-suite levels.
• Navigate intricate, multi-phase NHS procurement and decision-making processes while maintaining momentum.
• Lead the creation of proposals and presentations aimed at securing new business and partnerships.
• Formulate and implement your own outbound sales strategy and territory plan.
• Assist with deal structuring, pricing, and negotiations for proactive bids and proposals.
• Expand existing accounts by increasing case volumes and service scope within your current customer base.
• Maintain daily CRM practices and pipeline integrity in HubSpot, ensuring data accuracy and actionable reporting.
• Stay informed about regional market trends, including the National Cancer Plan and the NHS pathology transformation agenda (the 10 Year Health Plan, pathology network reform, and the Carter Pathology Transformation Review), serving as an internal regional market advisor.
• Represent Diagnexia at regional trade shows, conferences, and events.
• At least 5 years of field-based Business Development / Sales experience within the UK healthcare services sector.
• Proven track record of engaging senior executive stakeholders across Pathology Networks, ICBs, NHS England, and NHS Trusts, preferably in an NHS diagnostic context.
• Demonstrated capability to navigate NHS Trust clinical and vendor decision-making processes.
• A history of genuinely expanding a territory or account base, rather than merely managing existing accounts.
• Strong CRM discipline (HubSpot or similar) with meticulous attention to detail in pipeline management.
• Resilience, self-motivation, and a structured, proactive approach — you plan your follow-ups, and when challenges arise, you have contingency plans ready.
• Comfort in working autonomously and confidence in building relationships beyond your usual comfort zone.
• A full, clean UK driving licence and a willingness to travel extensively (50%+ of your time) across the territory, with occasional trips within the UK and EU.
• Desirable: experience in digital pathology, diagnostic imaging, oncology, or academic medical centres; a background in software/service sales (as opposed to pure capital/hardware sales) is a significant advantage.
• Healthcare benefits
• Competitive annual leave
• A genuine sense of purpose in your work by contributing to improved patient outcomes.
• The opportunity to collaborate with a world-class, high-performing team in a rapidly growing startup environment.
• A chance to engage in exciting, challenging, and unique projects.
• Regular performance feedback and substantial opportunities for career advancement.
• A highly collaborative and supportive multicultural team.
