
Business Development Manager – Pump & Hydro

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take ownership of and implement the APAC Pump/Industrial strategy in alignment with TOM priorities.
• Create a long-term growth strategy encompassing OEMs, retrofitting, distributors, and pivotal end-user sectors.
• Convert strategy into regional playbooks, target accounts, and execution priorities.
• Focus on high-repeatability opportunities rather than one-off projects.
• Lead specification selling for key Pump applications across the APAC region.
• Integrate solutions into OEM designs, standards, and preferred supplier lists.
• Cultivate strategic partnerships with OEMs, EPCs, and significant Industrial end-users.
• Develop replicable reference applications and compelling value propositions.
• Promote product standardization to facilitate scaling, stocking, and consistent revenue.
• Define and implement the Pump/Industrial partner strategy.
• Identify, onboard, and nurture distributors and solution partners.
• Deliver enablement programs including training, tools, application guides, and stock models.
• Establish performance expectations and governance for partners.
• Provide functional Pump leadership throughout the APAC region within a matrix framework.
• Assist Regional Managers in opportunity qualification, solution positioning, and deal closure.
• Engage in significant customer interactions and strategic initiatives.
• Serve as an escalation point for Pump-related technical and commercial matters.
• Maintain a strategic overview of Hydro/Clean Power prospects in the region.
• Coordinate centralized engineering support to alleviate regional burdens.
• Develop a limited portfolio of prominent Hydro reference projects.
• Define technical and commercial capability needs across the APAC region.
• Assist in the development of tools, training, and best-practice playbooks.
• Contribute insights into service, stock, and machining strategies.
• Collaborate with central Application Engineering on priorities.
• Maintain pipeline visibility and enhance forecasting accuracy.
• Ensure rigorous qualification, deal structuring, and margin management.
• Monitor performance against KPIs and adjust strategy in response to market changes.
• 8–12+ years of technical sales experience within the Pump, Industrial, or rotating equipment sectors.
• Demonstrated success in specification selling, OEM engagement, and distributor-driven growth.
• Experience in developing scalable industrial revenue models.
• Background in multi-country, matrix organizations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Capable of delivering dynamic presentations in English within a business context.
• Must be willing to travel internationally as necessary to fulfill responsibilities, approximately 50%, including frequent overnight stays and extended hours.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
