This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Enhance profitability and expand business within the pulp and paper/specialty chemicals sector
• Identify, investigate, and pursue new business ventures
• Create strategies for engaging potential clients
• Foster relationships with current customers while recognizing opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
• Formulate and execute business development strategies aimed at increasing market share and meeting revenue goals
• Negotiate and finalize contracts and agreements with customers
• Keep track of market trends and competitor activities to devise effective strategies
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams
• Report on business activities, outcomes, and KPIs to leadership
• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and sales funnel
• Handle complex sales processes involving multiple contacts and potentially lengthy sales cycles
• Travel to current and prospective clients to boost sales and profitability
• Over 5 years of experience in specialty chemicals, including metalworking, surface finishing, and/or water treatment applications or sales
• Strong skills in consultation, negotiation, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication
• Proven track record in negotiating contracts and agreements
• Ability to analyze market data and create effective growth strategies
• Deep understanding of market dynamics, competitor activities, and customer requirements
• Capability to manage complex projects and ensure timely delivery
• Goal-oriented and proactive in pursuing new business opportunities
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM, and lead generation tools
• Consistently demonstrated high-level sales results
• Ability to establish relationships with potential lead sources, such as OEMs and mechanical contractors
• Involvement with manufacturing associations relevant to the field of expertise is preferred
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, including overnight trips
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field
